This course is a gentle but powerful invitation to explore the emotional terrain of your own life—and to begin noticing the emotional lives of those closest to you. Through weekly reflection, live group learning, and practical observation tools, you’ll start recognising the signs of emotional stress, disconnection, and overwhelm—often long before they intensify, spill over, surface more strongly, or become overwhelming. 


You’ll be supported to:

  • Notice and understand your own emotional patterns
    Practice mindful awareness and compassion in the moment
    Strengthen your ability to observe and hold space for others
    Know what to look for—when a deeper need, support, or intervention might be necessary
     

This is not a diagnostic course, and it doesn’t train you to treat others. However, it does help you become emotionally literate enough to respond wisely, listen more deeply, and act earlier—before patterns become crises.


🧭 Why This Course Exists

Mental health challenges rarely appear out of nowhere. Often, they begin quietly—in moments of repeated stress, suppressed emotions, strained relationships, or disconnection from oneself.

Yet many of us haven’t been taught how to notice the early signals. We normalise overwhelm, minimise our feelings, or silently bypass what we don’t understand.


This course was created to offer something different: a space to pause, reflect, and learn how to observe emotional life—gently, honestly, and with curiosity.


Its intention is simple: to create emotional awareness that helps prevent emotional bypassing—in yourself, your family, and your relationships. When we become more observant and emotionally present, we become more available to ourselves and to the people we care about.


📚 What You’ll Explore and Begin Practising

Across 10 weeks, you'll be guided to explore key foundations of emotional intelligence—not as abstract theory, but as lived experience.


You’ll begin learning how to:

✅ Start observing how emotional stress or disconnection shows up in your daily life—and in those around you. Small signals can speak volumes when we know how to see them.

✅ Explore the subtle shifts between survival mode, emotional seeking, and grounded clarity. Learn how these influence behaviour, tone, and presence.

✅ Begin practising the difference between reacting automatically and responding with intention, even in emotionally charged moments.

✅ Learn how to listen without rushing to solve. Hold space for difficult feelings without judgment or defensiveness.

✅ Discover how certain biases—like fear of failure, urgency, or people-pleasing—can influence how you interpret others and make decisions.

✅ Through guided exercises, gently explore what unsettles you, why it matters, and how your past experiences shape present emotional responses.

✅ Learn to recognise subtle cues—shifts in tone, body language, reactivity, or withdrawal—that may signal emotional needs or distress in someone you care about.


🧠 How You’ll Learn

  • Live Weekly Sessions: Join others in real time for 4 hours each week of guided learning, reflection, and group support.
    Personal Exploration: Spend 1 hour each week with structured self-reflection tools that help you internalise and apply what you’re learning.
    Ongoing Practice: Each topic includes optional at-home observations and practical tools to try in daily life, alone or with loved ones.
